BIO

Carly Leinheiser (she/they) has spent the last decade practicing corporate and tax law, advising non-profit organizations and mission-driven businesses. Her advice is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique legal and business needs of organizations and companies that seek to maximize both social impact and financial returns. While practicing law can be adversarial, Carly encourages a culture of compassion and understanding whenever possible.

Carly aims to support the evolution of philanthropy, helping clients to effectively and efficiently allocate resources to organizations and people who need them the most.

Carly is a Founding Member of the Psychedelic Bar Association, a network of lawyers operating from the highest standards of excellence and ethical considerations, working to create a world where safe, legal access to psychedelics brings healing, equity and justice for all. She serves on the board of Figment Project, a non-profit arts organization that produces free participatory art events in public spaces around the world. She also served as a member of the New York City Bar Committee on Nonprofit Organizations from 2011-2014 and 2016-2019 and was selected as a Superlawyers’ Rising Star for 2015 - 2019. Carly is an active member of American Sustainable Business Network, a membership network that equips entrepreneurs, impact investors, and capacity-builders with connections, money, and expertise to build businesses that drive the “NEXT economy,” one that is regenerative, equitable, and prosperous for all.
